Mayner’s Fortune Limestone Project
Advancing High-Quality Limestone Production in British Columbia
Project Summary
The Mayner’s Fortune Limestone Project is strategically located approximately 7.5 kilometers southwest of Terrace, British Columbia, and about 60 kilometers from Kitimat. Encompassing 320 hectares, the property is situated along the Canadian National Railway route between Terrace and Kitimat, providing excellent logistical advantages. The project area hosts six historically mapped sub-parallel limestone units, making it a significant asset in Durango Resources’ portfolio.

Geological Highlights
- Limestone Units: The property features a two-kilometer-thick metasedimentary sequence with six north to northeast striking limestone units of variable thickness. Notably, Unit #5 has been measured at 1.6 kilometers in length, with plans to assess its calcium carbonate levels at depth.
- High Purity: Representative samples from outcrop sections have returned calcium carbonate (CaCO₃) levels up to 99.9% at surface, indicating exceptional limestone quality suitable for various industrial applications.

Infrastructure and Accessibility
- Transportation: The project benefits from logging road access and proximity to the Canadian National Railway, facilitating efficient transportation of materials.
- Proximity to Industry: Located near the $40 billion LNG Canada site in Kitimat, the project is well-positioned to supply high-quality limestone for construction and industrial purposes in the region.

Permitting and Development
The Company has received permit approval from the British Columbia Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources, authorizing the production of up to 10,000 tonnes of limestone annually for the next five years. This permit enables the company to evaluate the volume and quality of limestone in Unit #5 and advance the project towards commercial production.

Strategic Importance
The high purity of the limestone, combined with the project’s strategic location near significant industrial developments, positions Mayner’s Fortune as a key supplier for construction and industrial applications in British Columbia. The project’s development aligns with regional economic growth and infrastructure expansion, offering substantial opportunities for value creation.
